DIFFERENCE AMIANG MATERIAL WITH FIRE RESISTANCE CERAMIC MATERIAL
Minh Quan VLCN Company offers fire retardant fabrics, including Ceramic fire retardant fabrics and aminang fire retardant fabrics nationwide.
Currently on the market there are more than 175 different flame retardant fabrics, so wanting to identify each fabric is a headache for manufacturers.
For example, asbestos and ceramic fabrics are two products that easily confuse shoppers as well as the most difficult to distinguish because their shapes and sizes are similar.
I. AMINANG FABRIC
1. Composition.
Asbestos (derived from French amiante /amjɑ̃t/), also written as  a-mi-ang  or  Asbestos  in English,  Asbestos is a double silicate of Calcium (Ca) and Magnesium (Mg), containing SiO2  found in nature. .
Asbestos fabric includes 2 groups:
+  Serpentine group: Chrysotile (white asbestos) has a twisted form and is also the only type of asbestos fiber still commercially consumed on the market today. While many developed countries have banned the use and consumption of all forms of asbestos, some countries especially developing countries and in Vietnam chrysotile continues to be used.
+  Amphibole group  includes: Actinolite, Amosite (brown asbestos), Crocidolite (Blue asbestos), Tremolite, Anthophylite. Amphibole fiber group has a straight, needle-shaped structure, collectively referred to as colored asbestos.
Products are minerals such as chrysotil,  amosite,  crocidolite,  tremolite,  anthophyllite and  actinolite, so they have good heat resistance. That's why we humans make insulation products from aminag such as: asbestos fireproof fabric, asbestos heat-resistant wire, ....
2. Advantages:
  • Asbestos fabric is heat resistant up to 300~400°C
  • Has the ability to insulate, fireproof, insulation
  • Excellent abrasion resistance
  • Good anti-friction
3. How to recognize:
- has a slightly pungent odor, and is damaged in contact with water.
