Why is Glasswool used so much?

Glasswool products are made from glass fibers bonded with synthetic synthetic insulation (Resin). Therefore, glass wool has very good Heat Insulation - Sound Insulation - Fire Resistance - Heat Resistance and does not contain Asbestos so it is quite safe to use.
Glass wool insulation products are produced in many forms to serve many different uses such as sheets, rolls and tubes, with or without an additional layer of aluminum foil with different thicknesses and sizes.
