Vermiculite-coated glass fabric (fireproof vermi fabric) is a woven fabric woven from high-quality fireproof glass fibers, then coated with a layer of vermiculite, referred to as fireproof vermi fabric. The fabric can withstand a maximum temperature of 750° C. The fabric is usually produced in Korea.
Testing the fire resistance of vermi fabric
Fireproof vermi fabric is glass fabric coated on both sides with vermiculite with a very high percentage of 10% - 12%.
Thereby, we can see that fireproof vermi fabric has all the advantages of the two materials. Vermi fabric can be used for high temperature applications up to 750°C. The fabric is reinforced with fiberglass  which contains a certain amount of adhesive material.
