World science has made significant progress in researching and synthesizing PE, regularly creating new materials with unique properties. Thanks to their properties, PE is widely used in many areas of modern life. Although there are many different types of artificially created materials, most of them have limited applications and are not common. Polyethylene foam abbreviated as PE foam, its properties allow the material to be used in many industries, being one of the few PEs with a wide range of applications.

Form and method of production:

Polyethylene foam or PE Foam is a substance obtained by introducing a mixture of hydrocarbon gases into the PE structure, as a result of which the final material acquires a closed cell structure, high ductility and mechanical strength, depending on thickness. It is produced in sheets, rolls or bundles.

There are two types of polyethylene foam depending on the production method and structure:

non-crosslinked foam (generally accepted designation of NPE)
cross-linked foam (abbreviated PPE).
