Heat Insulation Construction for Factory
This article guides the construction of corrugated iron roof insulation for factories, warehouses,...
Instructions for constructing factory roof insulation panels:
Heat Insulation Construction for Factory
Prepare necessary supplies and equipment.
Insulation materials are very diverse such as silver foam insulation, heat-insulating corrugated iron, corrugated iron, etc. However, when insulating factory corrugated iron roofs, insulation with foam insulation is easy to apply, highly effective, and affordable.
  • Types of glue: silicone, specialized glue
  • Support machines such as drills, electric welders, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Pressure machine for cleaning after construction.
Check all metal frames and purlins.
The distance between purlins is not too large (0.8 - 1.2 meters). If the gap is too wide, the silver foam will be extruded when the roof is fired, and the hardness of the roof is not guaranteed.
Ensure the slope is so that after roofing, rainwater will flow faster without being splashed back onto the roof.
Proceed to spread and stretch the corner foam.
  • Transfer the previously calculated silver foam roll to the roof, using specialized glue or screws to fix one end.
  • Stretch the silver foam so that it covers the roof evenly from beginning to end, cutting off excess if any.
  • Wherever you spread the silver foam, put galvanized steel on it and screw it in place there. Perform rotation until the roof is covered.
Use silicone glue or specialized glue to reinforce corrugated iron roofs.
To avoid rain leaks, after using silver foam and corrugated iron, use silicon glue to reattach the two ends of the roof. This step needs to be done carefully and cannot be overlooked.
Clean the entire roof.
After the above steps, the construction of factory roof insulation panels has basically been completed. We should use a pressure washer to clean excess materials and sand on the roof.
Check and accept.
  • This step is to review again, to avoid unnecessary errors, so it should be done meticulously.
  • For the top of the roof, it is necessary to check the coverage of silver foam and corrugated iron, and whether the nails are fully glued with specialized glue.
  • For the underside, it is necessary to check whether the entire silver foam sheet is stretched or not. If there is a rebound phenomenon, use a temporary pry bar and re-glue it.
