Properties of thermal insulation materials - part 1

The basic properties of construction materials in general and insulation materials in particular are mainly divided into two main groups: thermo-physical properties and mechanical-physical properties. The properties influence and determine each other depending on the type of insulation material.
However, during the production process, technical parameters can be adjusted and combined with each other, in accordance with technical specifications in the same product type. In part 1 we will analyze the thermal and physical properties of insulation materials.
In the heat transfer process, there are three decisive factors: thermal conductivity, thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity. These are important thermal and physical properties of insulation materials. Achieving high efficiency and saving materials requires a deep understanding of these factors in the process of optimal design of the cover structure or insulation layer for thermal equipment and plants.
